Legal Administrative Specialist
The Legal Administrative Specialist program is designed to prepare students for employment as:
- General office clerk
- Clerical support staff
- Administrative support staff
- Legal secretary
The Legal Administrative Specialist program:
- Provides supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in any of these occupations.
- Includes working with business legal papers and correspondences including pleadings, contracts, wills, as well as a variety of other forms
- Offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills expanding the traditional role of the Legal Administrative Specialist.
Become knowledgeable and proficient in standard office practices and processes such as using personal computers, using dictating/transcribing equipment, and faxes. Learn legal terminology, document layout, and the proper format for legal documents using Microsoft Office Suite (MOS). Maintain a variety of files, legal documents, reports, and conduct effective Internet research. At the end of this program, students will be prepared to take the MOS certification exams.
